The Round table
Today, Natalia Lykova, President of the Association of Mediators and Intermediaries of the Asia-Pacific Region, spoke at the Round Table «Effective conflict resolution: Opportunities and prospects for development in Primorsky Krai» and spoke about the practice and activities of the Association for the development of mediation in Primorsky Krai, in Russia and internationally.
The round table was attended by Natalia Kosheleva (Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in Primorsky Krai, Diana Mikhailovna Grudinina (Head of the Institute of Postgraduate Education at the All–Russian State University), Ekaterina Evgenievna Vizhik (Head of the branch of the Primorsky Regional Bar Association – the Ussuriysk Bar Office, advocate), Irina Sergeevna Lesik (entrepreneur, psychologist). The moderator of the Round table was Vokhmina Elena Viktorovna, a member of the Association of Mediators and Intermediaries of the Asia–Pacific Region.
As a result of the Round Table, it became clear that there are few mediators in Primorsky Krai who have the practical skills and knowledge to conduct mediation procedures, as required by federal law, and that individuals and legal entities are poorly informed about the possibilities of dispute resolution through mediation.
