International Scientific and Practical Conference, Vladivostok

An international scientific and practical conference «Mediation and Arbitration in the era of changing Geopolitical Reality» was held today at the Far Eastern Federal University. For the third time in a row, Vladivostok has the honor to host a conference on mediation of such an international level. The conference discussed issues of interaction between mediators and the development of mediation in the Asia-Pacific region, mediators shared their practices and talked about the possibilities and legislative regulation of mediation in their countries, also discussed practical aspects of dispute resolution through arbitration and arbitration reform.

The conference was attended by official representatives and experts of international organizations, Russian politicians, heads of mediation and arbitration centers of the Asia-Pacific countries, such as:

– Athita Komindr (Head of the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific UN;

-Talabaeva Lyudmila Zaumovna (Representative of the legislative (representative) public authority of the Primorsky Territory in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, member of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management);

-Kuznetsov Zhan Anzorevich (Minister of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Primorsky Krai);

– Lykova Natalia Andreevna (President of the Association of Mediators and Intermediaries of the Asia-Pacific Region, General Director of Vincere LLC);

Professor Wang Guiguo (President of International Academy of the Belt and Road; President of Zhejiang University Academy of International Strategy; Member of the International Commercial Expert Committee of the People’s Supreme Court of China; Chairman of the Hong Kong WTO Research Institute);

Professor Rajesh Sharma (Associate Director of the Hong Kong WTO Research Institute; a member of Asian WTO Research Network; Research Fellow of the International Academy of Belt and Road; a member of the Drafting Committee of the Dispute Resolution Rules for the Belt and Road; a member of the Working Group for the establishment of Asian Regional Mediation Organization (ARMO) and a member of the Drafting Committee for the Rules of Mediation for ARMO);
