UN UNCITRAL Special Session

Today, the President of the Association of Mediators and Intermediaries of the Asia-Pacific Region, N.A. Lykova, took part as a listener in a special session of the UN UNCITRAL, held jointly with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea on the reform of the issue of investor-state dispute settlement. The session was attended by representatives and experts of the Asia-Pacific region in the field of law, mediation and arbitration, who discussed at the session issues of dispute prevention and mitigation of their consequences, settlement of investment disputes between an investor and the state through mediation, development of rules for resolving such disputes and wider implementation of mediation as a means of resolving investment disputes.
